Participant Release regarding Vanguard Frequent Trading Policy
ATTENTION PARTICIPANTS AND PLAN SPONSORS INVESTING IN:
Any Sentry Separate Account that invests in a Vanguard mutual fund.
The Vanguard Board of Directors has approved a Frequent-Trading Policy that prohibits investors
who redeem or exchange out of a fund from purchasing or exchanging into the same fund within 60 calendar days.
Sentry has been informed by Vanguard that we are required to monitor participant transactions and implement this new
Frequent-Trading Policy effective March 31, 2006.
Plan sponsors and participants investing in Sentry Separate Accounts have access to Vanguard through Sentry. After
Friday, March 31, 2006, participants who exchange (a transaction in which proceeds from a redemption are used to
purchase another investment offered within the plan) any amount from a Sentry Separate Account that invests solely in
a Vanguard mutual fund must wait 60 calendar days before exchanging back into the same Sentry Separate Account. Sentry
will implement this Vanguard Policy effective March 31, 2006.
The Vanguard Frequent-Trading Policy will not apply to:
Purchases of Separate Account Units with participant payroll or employer contributions
Purchases of Separate Account Units with dividend or capital gain distributions
Distributions, loans and in-service withdrawals from a plan
Redemptions of Separate Account Units as part of a plan termination or at the direction of the plan trustees
