Objective

The objective of this account is to seek investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the Goldman Sachs InvesTop TM Index, or a similar corporate bond index. It invests solely in the Sentry Corporate Bond ETF Portfolio.

Investor Profile

The Corporate Bond ETF Account may be suitable for investors who are interested in pursuing price and yield performance of the Goldman Sachs InvesTop TM Index or a similar corporate bond index. Individuals must be willing and able to accept moderate changes in unit price both in the short and long term.

Investment Strategy

Sentry Corporate Bond ETF Portfolio invests primarily in one or more exchange traded funds (ETFs) that seek investment results that correspond to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the corporate bond market as represented ed by the Goldman Sachs InvesTop TM Index or a similar corporate bond index. The portfolio manager employs a passive investment strategy. Cash may be held in the portfolio to efficiently accommodate purchases and redemptions.

Investment Considerations

The principal value of the Corporate Bond ETF Account is subject to declines when interest rate levels rise or other factors (like defaults) that adversely affect the corporate bond market. This Account takes a passive approach to investing in corporate bonds and is appropriate for investors seeking a passive investment management approach to corporate bonds for a portion of their retirement portfolio.

Investment management, brokerage fees and all other expenses of Sentry Investment Management, Inc. total 0.25 percent per year and are deducted from the asset value of the Sentry Corporate Bond ETF Portfolio. The investment managers for the Sentry Corporate Bond ETF Portfolio are Christopher Meadows, CFA and Chad Rice. *Performance figures for the Sentry Corporate Bond ETF Portfolio include the reinvestment of all dividends and capital gain distributions. All returns are net of portfolio expenses. Money invested by participants in the Sentry Life Corporate Bond ETF Account is then invested by Sentry Life Insurance Company into the underlying portfolio. A separate account fee for sales, marketing, taxes, account compliance, overhead and legal/audit fees will be applied to this Separate Account. The separate account fee will reduce the total returns of the Separate Account quoted above.
