As part of our dedication to supporting the youth in the communities in which we live and work, we held a mask design contest. The winning submissions will be featured on masks to be handed out during the PGA TOUR Sentry Tournament of Champions event on Maui.
Open to K–12 students in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, and on Maui, this contest focused on artwork that reflects the communities and cultures of either Stevens Point or Maui from the student’s point of view. Entries were evaluated based on originality, creativity, and overall appearance.
The finished double-sided mask will feature the culture of Stevens Point on one side, while the other side features the culture of Maui, signifying the bond between the two communities.
Please join us in congratulating the following students for their winning submissions:
- Kyler Strona, grade 4, King Kamehameha III Elementary, Maui
- Lillian Lepak, grade 12, Pacelli High School, Stevens Point
You can view and read more about their winning designs below.
In addition to showcasing the winners’ designs on masks at the tournament, our Sentry Insurance Foundation will be making a donation in their honor to have a tree planted in the Pu’u Kukui Watershed Preserve and Schmeeckle Reserve.
A charitable donation will also be made to their respective schools to recognize their winning submissions and student participation from each school.
We’re proud of all the entries for this contest. Thank you to all the participating students. The talent and creativity shown is remarkable and inspiring.
