SentryWorld® golf course—the Midwest's premier parkland golf experience—is the most visible part of a vibrant sports, event, and social gathering place in central Wisconsin.
Course details
- Designed by architect Robert Trent Jones Jr.
- Features 18 holes, spanning 200 acres in a parkland setting
- Opened in June of 1982
- Considered by Jones as his “Mona Lisa”—on a recent visit, he described the course and its white sands as the “Augusta of the North”
- Features the signature 16th hole—the Flower Hole—with 30,000 flowers
- Named the first-ever winner of Golf Digest’s “Best New Public Course” award
- Ranked among the top 10 courses in Golf Digest’s “Wisconsin Best in State” category from 1983 to present
- Reimagined in 2013 by Robert Trent Jones Jr., with help from fellow architects Bruce Charlton and Jay Blasi
- Reopened for the 2015 season, with total yardage increased to 7,237 from the championship tees
- Hosted the top junior female golfers in the world for the USGA 71st U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship in July 2019
- Installed the first SubAir system on a Wisconsin golf course in 2020, which draws moisture from greens when they’re saturated and cools them when they’re hot
- Played by many top golfers and celebrities
The golf experience
- Parkland course designed for golfers of all skill levels
- Offers group outings, lessons, programs, GPS-enabled golf carts, and caddies
- Includes practice tee areas—featuring target greens, fairways, and bunkers—accommodating 76 hitting stations
- Offers practice and lesson area for putting, chipping, hitting out of sand, and driving drills
- Fieldhouse features indoor driving and putting ranges
- State-of-the-art golf simulator available with courses from around the world—including SentryWorld
- SentryWorld Pro Shop offers high-quality products, including apparel and gear, as well as services like golf club fittings and custom engraving
The Fieldhouse
- Spans more than 51,000 square feet—the largest and most versatile space on the premises
- Hosts multiple leagues throughout the year, including volleyball, tennis, kickball, and even bean bag toss
- Open to the public for concerts, trade shows, and corporate meetings
Wisconsin hospitality
- SentryWorld offers two unique restaurants: PJ's – SentryWorld, a charming, casual space with a focus on Wisconsin cuisine, and Muse at Sentry, an elegant, upscale dining experience
- SentryWorld has spaces designed to host very small to very large special events, including meetings and weddings, complete with a full catering department
- Opening in spring 2021, The Inn at SentryWorld—a boutique hotel—will cater guests with a full stay-and-play experience and upscale lodging
