Sentry’s 2025 United Way campaign raises $1.85 million to support communities nationwide

The total amount raised is a new record for the company.

STEVENS POINT, Wis. (November 7, 2025) – Sentry Insurance announced the results of its annual employee-led United Way fundraising campaign, raising a total of $1,855,906 to help strengthen communities across the country.

During the two-week campaign, 92.4% of employees in Stevens Point and 75.7% companywide made a monetary pledge. With Sentry offices and employees in multiple states, employees were able to direct their contributions to the United Way serving their local communities—ensuring that support reaches neighbors and families where they live and work.

“Our employees are caring and community-minded, demonstrating unmatched generosity year after year,” said Pete McPartland, Sentry Chairman and CEO. “Their strong participation reflects a culture of engagement that sets Sentry apart.”

In total, donations were distributed to United Ways in more than a dozen communities, including a record contribution of $1,340,000 to the United Way of Portage County, home to Sentry’s corporate headquarters.

“Every campaign, every volunteer hour, every single act of kindness—builds upon the last,” said Fred Hebblewhite, Executive Director of the United Way of Portage County. “Together, Sentry and their employees have created a legacy of compassion and impact. This legacy continues to ripple through their workplace, communities, and beyond.”

The majority of funds came through employee pledges, matched by the Sentry Insurance Foundation. Employees also organized a variety of creative fundraising events including raffles, bake sales, a golf outing, and silent auctions.

Milestones in Madison and Nashville

Sentry’s Madison office reached a milestone, raising $100,000 for the campaign. The Nashville office—home to The General and participating for the first time since joining Sentry in January—raised an impressive $93,000.

“We’re proud of the achievements of Sentry employees across all locations," added Kalynn Pempek, Executive Director for the Sentry Foundation. "From long-established offices to new teams participating for the first time, their engagement in our campaign will have a meaningful impact.”
