STEVENS POINT, Wis. (November 5, 2026) – Sentry Insurance announced the results of its 2026 United Way fundraising campaign, raising $1,864,457 to help strengthen communities across the country.
A record 4,881 employees made monetary pledges during the campaign, with companywide participation reaching 82.4%.
“What makes this campaign special isn’t just the amount raised, but the number of people who come together to make a difference,” said Pete McPartland, Sentry Chairman and CEO. “Our employees continue to demonstrate an extraordinary commitment to supporting their communities. Their generosity reflects the kind of culture we’ve built at Sentry, and it’s something I’m incredibly proud of.”
The majority of funds came through employee pledges and matching gifts from the Sentry Insurance Foundation. Employees also organized a variety of creative fundraising events, including a golf scramble, games, and food and beverage activities.
Of the total raised, $1,377,000 will support the United Way of Portage County, home to Sentry’s corporate headquarters. Both the overall campaign total and the contribution to the United Way of Portage County set new fundraising records for Sentry.
