STEVENS POINT – Sentry president and CEO Peter G. McPartland assumed the role of Chairman of the Board on September 1.

Following the recommendation and formal motion by Dale R. Schuh, who retired on August 30, Sentry’s board of directors elected McPartland to succeed Schuh as Chairman.

“There will always be new challenges for the insurance industry, especially when it comes to information technology, e-commerce, and government regulation,” Schuh said. “The board and I have the utmost confidence that Pete is the right person to lead this company forward.”

McPartland joined Sentry in August 2010 as president and chief operating officer. He was elected to the board of directors that same year. In 2012, he was named chief executive officer.
